The Northwest Women's Open, was first established as the Eastside Women's Open in 1996 by LPGA Teaching Professional Erin Szekely. It was played in Redmond WA at Willows Run Golf Course for 3 years.
It then became the Washington State Women's Open with the help of Todd Patch of Rancho Mirage. CA. It was held at the Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club in Federal Way WA until 2010.
After a two year hiatus, it is now the Northwest Women's Open, and is still being played at Twin Lakes. With the help of sponsors like Pepsi, Nike and the City of Federal Way, the tournament's future looks bright.
This tournament would not be possible without the work and support of Steve Turcotte, Jim Schneider and the members and staff of Twin Lakes. A special thank you goes out to Chuck Kusak and Kusak Cut Glass Works for their unwavering support of this tournament throughout the last 18 years. We appreciate all the support from our sponsors and look forward to growing the tournament each year.
